JOB DUTIES
Assist in the execution of day-to-day activities of client engagements including finance and accounting assistance, financial and/or performance audits, agreed upon procedures, etc. Duties may include:
Developing an understanding of the firm’s quality control policies and procedures and adherence to such policies and procedures.
Apply principles of accounting to assist in analyzing financial information and helping to prepare financial reports.
Assist in analyzing and reviewing financial information.
Assists staff on varying types of engagements and preparing workpapers for review.
Identify opportunities for improvement and develop specific recommendations.
Manage competing deadlines and workloads in a fast environment.
Assist in planning and project management activities.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Working towards completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting at an accredited college/university.
Working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam
0-5 years professional and/or project experience in accounting or a related field.
Experience in government operations is a plus, but not required.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information, strong ethics and integrity
Previous training and/or education in any of the following additional areas: communications, business analysis, finance, economics, project management, business information systems or public administration.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed in an office environment. Exposed to repetitive motions due to usage of computers on a daily basis. May have to sit for prolonged periods of time. May be required to lift up to 30lbs on occasion.
