Audit Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate engagements to ensure they provide quality services on a timely basis that meet or exceeds clients’ expectations.

  • Keep Partners and clients informed of important developments on engagements; analyze problems and recommend solutions.

  • Build and nurture strong professional relationships with clients; establish and maintain a thorough knowledge of our clients across all facets of their businesses.

  • Maintain a knowledge of general economic and political trends of possible tax or other legislation that could affect the business climate.

  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality

  • Supervise, develop, train, and mentor staff and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews

  • Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations, etc.

  • Assist Senior Manager(s) and Partner(s) in overseeing and monitoring firm wide workload, assignments, and staffing related to assurance engagements.

  • Contribute to the growth of our assurance practice by assisting with business proposals, networking, and recruiting.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least four years of current or recent experience in public accounting.

  • Active CPA license; will be required to obtain and/or maintain municipal license upon hiring.

  • Excellent time management skills; high level of integrity and reliable work effort; good judgment and decision-making; ability to analyze and resolve problems while managing multiple deadlines; ability to work within budgetary and time constraints.

  • Highly self-motivated; ability to work well both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
